Prácheňské Museum

Since 1902, the regional museum has been housed in the only preserved wing of the Přemyslid Castle and the adjacent premises. Its rooms, including the Gothic Knights’ Hall, were renovated in the 1990s and the new exhibitions won the European Museum of the Year 1996 award. The regional history, cultural tradition and local nature are presented here, including the exhibition Gold in the region and Fishery with live fish. In addition, the museum holds short-term exhibitions and you can also buy souvenirs here.
