Prácheň Museum

Since 1902, the regional museum has been housed in the only preserved wing of the Přemyslid Castle and its adjacent premises. The museum's rooms, including the Gothic Knights’ Hall, were renovated in the 1990s, and its new exhibitions won the European Museum of the Year Award in 1996. The museum presents the region’s history, cultural traditions, and natural heritage, featuring exhibitions such as 'Gold in the Region' and 'Fishery', which includes live fish. In addition to its permanent displays, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, and visitors can purchase souvenirs on-site.
