Around Písek by bike

This cycling route completely encircles Písek. Its total length is about 70 km, the route can be shortened in various ways. The route logo (a white cyclist on a blue background) will accompany you along the cycle circuit. You can find the route on the map here.

The starting point is the Stone Bridge in Písek. The route leads cyclists from Písek along the 1015 through the Písek Mountains Nature Park to Albrechtice nad Vltavou. Then it continues along a forest path, marked only by the circuit logo, to Nová Ves near Protivín. There it connects to the 1091 to Protivín. At the square in Protivín, 1077 goes past the railway station to 1146 and 1147 along the Blanice River to the Klokočín Fortress, where it returns to 1077 along a path marked only with a logo. Following this route, it goes through Skály to Budičovice, then along 1073 and 1074 to Ražice, along 1043 and 1045 to Lhota u Kestřany, across the Otava River to Kestřany to the turn-off to the Kestřany golf course. From there the road is marked only with a logo – past the golf course, the hill Na Ovčíně, then along the forest path, crossing the road class II Písek – Strakonice and going down to the village Velké Nepodřice. Here it turns off at 1160, passes through the settlement of Mlaka and on 1161 through Chlaponice and Bošovice leads to Čížová. From there it heads along 1151 to the gas bridge, and then via the Sedláček trail 1225 back to Písek.
