Sacral spaces

In Písek you can find 3 catholic churches, where there are masses hold. There are also some prayer houses of different protestant churches. A synagogue (under renovation) is still standing in the Soukenická street.

It is also possible to visit local cemeteries – Holy Trinity park in the town centre, the Forest Cemetery at the edge of the town and Jewish and Military cemeteries outside the town.

The modern person’s Road of Crucifixion in the area known as the “Písecké hory“ has become a place from where it is easier to send a prayer or thanks to Heaven. The project is based on the symbolism of the Christian Stations of the Cross and its message – fourteen sufferings – fourteen stations leading to the summit – the Station of Hope.
