  • The Tourist Information Center – located in the main square at Velké náměstí 1, opened daily
  • Sand sculptures on the theme FREEDOM available on both banks of the Otava river till November 17, 2025; the sculpture are part of "Enjoy Art" tour in the centre of Písek – see flyer "Enjoy Art in Písek 2025" in our Downloads.   • Viewing tower of the church with new exhibition, visits on weekends 
  • the Prácheň Museum and A. Heyduk Memorial are opened
  • Visits of the Stud Farm: tours every Wednesday and Saturday
  • Exhibitions: Sladovna Gallery (gallery to play), DRAGOUN Gallery, Municipal library, Portyč Gallery
  • Nextbike shared bikes in Písek: 100 mechanical bikes with 7-speed gear shifts and 15 e-bikes at more than 70 stations, 15 minutes of riding free of charge.
  • From September 1 to December 31, 2025, the bus station in Písek is under reconstruction. Bus stops are relocated to Baarova Street; long-distance and bike buses will depart from the stop “U autobusového nádraží”.
  • From November 10, 2025 till January 18, 2026, part of the Velké náměstí Square will be closed due to preparation for the advent programme

ADVENT IN PÍSEK 2025

Enjoy the magical Christmas atmosphere, try ice skating on the outdoor ice rink, and spend pleasant moments with family and friends in the Advent village. The program offers a range of traditional and new events. It will be officially opened on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Main Square (Velké náměstí). From this date until January 2, 2026, an exhibition of Písek Nativity Scenes will be on display in the town center, and an ice rink will be operating at the Main Square.
